Alumen450™readychelatesdissolvedAl3+andsubsequentlyshowsanincreaseintheemissionspectraforAlumenBlue™inthepresenceofdissolvedAl3+,i.e.itgetssignificantlybrighter. Theprobeincreasesitsfluorescenceemission>300%ingoingfrom0 →750µMAl3+. Alumen450™showsanalmostlinearresponsetoAl3+from1 →300µMdissolvedAl3+.Alumen450™isalsoahighlyselectiveprobeforboththedetectionanddeterminationofdissolvedAl3+overotherdissolvedcations.
Inthiskit,Alumen450™isalreadyconvenientlypreloadedintoaboxof100plasticcuvettes(transmissiondownto285nm).ThesecuvettesallowfordissolvedAluminumdetectioninaFluorescencebasedformat.Withtheseconvenientpre-loadedcuvettes,thereisnoreconstitutionprocedurenecessary,simplyadd3ml(3cm3)ofyoursampletoeachcuvetteandmeasure,it’sthatsimple.
Foroptimumperformance,probevialsshouldbestoredat-2to-8°Cwhennotbeingusedand<-20°Clongterm.Probesolutionsshouldbeusedafterdilution.
